Marc Jacobs Fall 2014--Closing New York Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs gave a thoughtfully minimal outing for his fall-winter 2014 collection which marked his first season since his Louis Vuitton departure. While last season showcased dark colors for spring, fall was all about dreamy shades of cream, tan, light blue and lilac sometimes with color blocking or gradient patterns. Models walked the runway in matching short bobs with headbands covering the blunt hairstyle. The Marc Jacobs woman embraced an almost minimal aesthetic for the season sporting long tunics (short and long-sleeved), chiffon ruffle-adorned gowns and bomber jackets to finish the look. Sequin-adorned dresses topped over cropped trousers exude a 1960s vibe as did much of the collection.
